Management of the sale of your existing property

We can help you assess the likely value of your home before asking local Estate Agents to value it. This will avoid the obvious tactic of a flattering over-valuation designed purely to win your business. We can also help you negotiate the Estate Agents fees and understand the value of some of the many marketing ‘gimmicks’ offered by different agents. If you wish, we can also retain an involvement during the sale process.

Home Information Packs (HIPs)

We can advise on all aspects of HIPs. There are a vast number of suppliers, and prices vary considerably. We can help you source the best option.

Appointment of Solicitors

It is imperative that you appoint the right solicitors to act for you when moving home. Different firms specialise in different areas of the law, and therefore a superb firm of litigators for example, may not be the best choice to deal with residential conveyancing. We only appoint law firms that operate a ‘no move-no fee’ charging policy.

Arranging a Survey

A survey is an important part of the process when buying a property. As well as a need to be clear on the structural integrity of the building, it is important that whatever buying decision you make, it is made with full knowledge of the facts. There are many different types of survey, and some are more appropriate than others on certain styles or age of property. Through our network of Surveyors, we can advise on the most appropriate survey for your chosen property, and make the arrangements for it to be carried out.

Schooling information in a new area

We are able to source schooling information for you when planning a move to a new area. This will help you to identify the best areas in a new town and ensure that any catchment area issues are highlighted quickly.

Your removal arrangements

We have established links with a number of the key specialist removal companies. Prices can vary widely, and there are very often strings attached to some lower quotes. This normally means that unless a strict (or perhaps unrealistic) timetable is achieved on the day, the price may go up substantially. In our experience, moving day can be quite stressful, so it is probably best to avoid a last minute dispute with the removal men!

Setting up home at your new property

We can help you source qualified tradesmen, suppliers of home furnishings and interior design consultants. The only restriction to what can be achieved will be your budget.
